Our verdict
Durable is the quickest way for a service business to get a decent draft site, a customer list and bookings in one place, and Launch at $22-25 a month is fair for that. Indian businesses should note that built-in payments are not available to them, and anyone selling products or wanting design control will be better served by Wix.
How this score works: the DevMixa score is research-based — we compare official pricing, features, documentation, support options, security and data policies, and public user feedback against other tools in the same category. It is not a hands-on test; tools we test ourselves are marked “Tested”.
What is Durable AI?
Describe your business, and Durable promises a ready-to-edit homepage in about 30 seconds, with headings, service blurbs and images already in place. That speed is the whole sales pitch. The 30-second figure and the "3 million businesses" line on its homepage are Durable's own claims, and we have not measured either. This durable ai website builder review and pricing guide looks past the demo: what the Free, Launch and Grow plans cost in October 2026, what the customer list and invoice tools really do, and why a business registered in India runs into one specific wall.
The facts below come from Durable's pricing page, help centre, privacy policy and terms as they read on 21 October 2026, plus two December 2023 funding reports. No paid account was tested hands-on.
What Durable actually produces in those 30 seconds
Durable Technologies Inc is a Vancouver company founded by James Clift and backed by Spark Capital, Torch Capital, South Park Commons and others. In December 2023 BetaKit reported an $18 million CAD Series A led by Spark Capital, and Durable's own press release put the same round at $14 million. The product began as an AI website generator and has since added bookings, a CRM, a blog tool, a brand builder and invoicing.
Either way, the result is a starting draft. The AI copywriting writes your headline and service sections and drops in images. After that you rewrite blocks by hand or spend AI credits asking it to change them. On the pricing page, the credits sit next to AI agents for blog posts, reviews, competitor research and general business questions.
Think of a home tutor in Indore, an AC repair crew or a wedding photographer who needs a page that explains the service and takes appointments. Durable's pricing page talks about bookings and paid bookings, not product catalogues or carts, so treat it as a lead-generation site builder rather than a shop builder.
Durable AI pricing in 2026: searching for Starter or Business? The page now says Launch and Grow
People still search for a Durable Starter plan and a Business plan, and some older reviews use those names. Neither appears on the current pricing page, and Durable does not publish how old plans map to the new ones, so treat any Starter or Business price you find elsewhere as out of date. Today there is one free tier and two paid ones, with AI usage metered in monthly credits.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly (per month) | Approx. INR, monthly billing | Main inclusions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | ₹0 | Preview site on a durable.site subdomain, Durable branding, 300 AI credits, CRM capped at 10 customers, basic help centre support |
| Launch | $25/mo | $22/mo | approx. ₹2,370 | Custom domain (free registration up to $20 value), unlimited CRM customers, unlimited online booking with calendar sync, Advanced SEO and GEO, review and competitor research tools, 1,000 AI credits a month, priority human support |
| Grow | $49/mo | $41/mo | approx. ₹4,640 | All of Launch, plus a 1:1 onboarding call and dedicated support, unlimited team members, automatic site translation with a language switcher, $40 domain credit, 5,000 AI credits a month |
The plan cards show $25 and $49, while the comparison table shows $22 and $41. The yearly toggle carries a standing "Save 15%" badge (not a time-limited offer), and the page's meta text advertises Launch at "as little as $22 per month", so the lower figures are the yearly rates, even though the page never prints "billed yearly" beside them. Durable shows prices only in dollars. The rupee figures above are approximate conversions at about ₹94.7 to the dollar; your card issuer's forex markup and any GST that applies will push the real charge a little higher. On yearly billing, Launch works out to roughly ₹2,080 a month and Grow to roughly ₹3,880.
One trap: the FAQ says a custom domain takes a couple of weeks to transfer out after cancelling and carries a minimum subscription time, but never gives the period. Ask support before registering a domain through Durable. The terms of service add two more points: subscriptions renew automatically, and fees and AI credits are non-refundable.
What the Durable AI website builder free plan really gets you
The $0 tier is better described as an open-ended preview than a free hosting plan. You get a durable.site address, Durable's branding stays on the page, and you cannot attach a custom domain. The CRM holds only 10 customers, which a busy tutor could fill in a week.
It is still handy. Generate a site for each business idea you are weighing, share the preview link, and pay once one idea earns a proper domain. Compared with Wix's free plan (500 MB and a wixsite.com address with Wix ads), Durable gives you less room to grow but gets you to a shareable draft much faster.
Durable AI CRM and invoicing: both still exist, with a catch for India
The built in CRM is the more mature of the two. Enquiries from your site's forms and bookings land in one list of leads and customers, and the paid plans remove the 10-customer cap. For a business tracking clients in WhatsApp chats, that single list is the main reason to pick Durable.
Invoicing is less visible. It has no row on the pricing page, yet the help centre keeps a current Invoices section. According to that guide, you open Invoices from the left menu, start a new invoice, add line items with quantity and rate, pick a currency, add tax or a discount, and email it. Sent invoices can be downloaded, printed, deleted or followed up with automatic reminders. BetaKit described the tool as a beta in 2023; it is now documented but still not marketed.
Here is the catch. The emailed invoice carries a payment link only if Durable payments are switched on, and Durable's help centre lists just four countries where that is possible: the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. Payments run on Stripe at Stripe's standard rates, and Durable says it adds no fee of its own. A business registered in India can still create and send invoices, but customers would need to pay by UPI or bank transfer outside Durable, and you would track that payment yourself.
Durable vs Wix AI for a small business that needs to get paid
Wix retired its old ADI builder in November 2024 and now pushes the Harmony editor, where an AI agent called Aria drafts pages from a prompt. Durable is quicker to a first draft. Wix is far deeper once you start editing.
- Entry price: Wix Light is $17 a month on yearly billing with a custom domain, but accepting payments starts at Core, $29 a month yearly. Durable Launch is $22 a month on yearly billing and includes the CRM and booking.
- Payments from India: Wix lists Razorpay, Cashfree Payments and PayU India as providers for Indian businesses, so UPI checkout works. Durable payments are not available to Indian-registered businesses at all.
- Selling products: Wix Stores handles inventory, variants and coupons. Durable is built around services and bookings.
- Design control: Wix gives you free placement, apps and code through Velo. Durable trades that freedom for speed and fewer decisions.
The short version: if your clients pay in person or by UPI and you mainly want enquiries, Durable is cheaper and faster to run. If you need online checkout in rupees or a product catalogue, Wix is the safer pick.
Can a 30-second site rank? Durable's SEO tools and blog generator
Every plan claims SEO-optimised pages, and Launch adds what Durable calls Advanced SEO and GEO, along with review and competitor research agents. GEO here means visibility inside AI answer engines, not just classic search results. The AI blog generator writes posts on demand and draws from your monthly credits.
These seo tools handle the plumbing, such as titles and descriptions. They cannot make a generated page original. A site created from "dentist, Pune" starts with copy that looks a lot like every other dentist page the same model has written. Pages tend to rank when they carry specifics: real service prices, the localities you cover, photos of your own work, and answers to questions customers actually ask.
Why Durable sites look alike, and how to make yours your own
Short prompts produce similar sites. Two salons in the same city that type almost the same description will get almost the same layout and stock photos. Brand customization is the fix, and Durable gives you a few levers: the Brand Builder for a logo and colours, an AI image studio, and the editor for fonts, sections and copy.
The biggest fixes cost nothing: your own photos, a hero line in your customers' words, and one section only your business could write, such as how a first appointment works.
Data, AI training and team seats
Durable's privacy policy, last updated on 9 October 2026, lists "to train machine learning models" among the ways it uses data, with Google Workspace API data excluded. It does not describe an opt-out. Data is transferred to and processed in Canada and in other countries where its service providers operate, and Stripe is among the third parties named. The terms of service, updated the same day, say the customer owns the AI output. Read both documents before importing sensitive client records.
Team access is spelt out only for Grow, which allows unlimited team members. The pricing page does not state a seat limit for Free or Launch, so confirm with support if you plan to share the dashboard with staff.
Durable AI website builder review and pricing: who should pay, and for which plan
Launch is the plan most people will need, because it adds a custom domain, the uncapped CRM and bookings. Grow makes sense when you have staff who need logins, customers who read a second language, or a heavy blogging habit that burns through 1,000 credits.
Skip Durable if you run a product store, need online payments while registered in India, or want a large content site with fine control over templates. Wix suits stores and Indian payment gateways, Framer suits design-led sites, WordPress.com suits blogs, and Squarespace sits between them on design.
A sensible first hour on Durable
- Generate two or three drafts on the free tier with different descriptions and keep the one that sounds most like you.
- Submit a test enquiry through your own form and confirm it lands in the CRM.
- If you are in India, plan how clients will pay (UPI or bank transfer) and test sending an invoice without a payment link.
- Start Launch on monthly billing, and switch to yearly only after a month or two of real enquiries.

Durable AI FAQ
What is Durable AI?
Durable is an AI website builder from Durable Technologies Inc, a company based in Vancouver, Canada. It generates a website for a service business (Durable advertises about 30 seconds) and adds a CRM, online bookings, an AI blog generator and SEO tools around it.
How much does Durable AI cost?
The pricing page lists Free at $0, Launch at $25 a month and Grow at $49 a month on monthly billing. Yearly billing brings them to $22 and $41 a month. At about ₹94.7 per dollar, Launch is approx. ₹2,370 a month on monthly billing before forex charges and any GST.
Is Durable AI free?
There is a permanent free tier, but it is mainly a preview. It uses a durable.site subdomain with Durable branding, gives 300 AI credits and caps the CRM at 10 customers. A custom domain needs the Launch plan or higher.
How do I build a website with Durable in 30 seconds?
Start a new site, describe your business, and let the generator write and lay out the pages. Durable says the draft is ready in about 30 seconds. Plan on extra time afterwards to rewrite the copy, add your own photos and set up bookings.
Is Durable AI good for SEO?
It covers the basics on every plan, and Launch adds Advanced SEO and GEO plus review and competitor research tools. The generated copy is generic, though, so ranking depends on adding real local details, prices and original photos.
Durable vs Wix: which is better?
Durable is faster to a first draft and includes a CRM and booking on its $22 a month (yearly) Launch plan. Wix offers much more design control, a full online store and Indian payment gateways such as Razorpay, with payments starting on Core at $29 a month yearly. Pick Durable for simple lead-generation sites and Wix for selling online.
Can I use Durable AI in India?
Yes, you can build and publish a site from India and pay in US dollars. However, Durable payments (run on Stripe) are only available to businesses registered in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK, so an Indian business cannot add payment links to its invoices or bookings. Clients would have to pay by UPI or bank transfer outside Durable.
What are the best Durable AI alternatives?
Wix is the closest option and supports Indian payment gateways and online stores. Framer suits design-led sites, WordPress.com suits blogs, and Squarespace is a polished middle ground. Each one takes longer to set up than Durable's generator.
Why does my Durable site look generic?
The generator works from a short prompt, so similar businesses get similar layouts, copy and stock images. Replace the stock photos with your own, rewrite the headline and service text, and use the Brand Builder for a logo and colours. Adding a section only your business could write helps most.
Who is Durable AI best for?
It suits solo service providers and small service teams such as tutors, trainers, cleaners, repair crews and consultants who want enquiries and bookings with little setup. It is a poor match for product stores, content-heavy sites and Indian businesses that need online payments.
