Our verdict

3.9out of 5

Duda earns its price for agencies running many small business sites where clients make light edits and the agency bills a monthly care fee. Pick Agency unless clients insist on your branding, and skip it for single sites or projects that need code ownership.

How this score works: the DevMixa score is research-based — we compare official pricing, features, documentation, support options, security and data policies, and public user feedback against other tools in the same category. It is not a hands-on test; tools we test ourselves are marked “Tested”.

What is Duda?

Duda says more than 14 million sites have been built on its platform and that over 450,000 businesses rely on it, yet most of those owners never open Duda themselves. An agency or a SaaS reseller does the building and hands over a login. That middleman model shapes this Duda website builder for agencies review and pricing guide: plans are sold per account, extra sites are bought one at a time, and the most expensive tier exists mainly to hide Duda's name from your clients. All prices below come from duda.co/pricing in October 2026. They are in US dollars, and the rupee figures are approximate conversions at ₹94.7 to the dollar.

Who actually pays for Duda, and why its dashboard looks the way it does

Duda was founded in 2009 by Itai Sadan and Amir Glatt, as reported by Israeli business paper Globes and by CB Insights, and today pitches itself at web professionals who serve small businesses. The editor is drag-and-drop with sections and widgets. What an agency notices first is everything around the canvas: a project list covering every client site, per-client permissions, comment threads on pages, and saved templates and sections you build once and reuse.

Clients get their own logins with limited rights. You choose whether a client can change text only, post to the blog or manage the store. This kind of client management is why a five-person studio running 40 sites for clinics and restaurants picks Duda. A freelancer making one portfolio site gets very little from it.

Duda pricing for Basic, Team and Agency tiers, plus the branded one, in rupees

Duda sells five tiers today. The common search phrase "Duda pricing Basic Team Agency" uses names that are still current, but it skips the White Label tier and the sales-led Custom plan, so both are added here.

PlanPer month, billed yearlyBilled monthlySites includedTeam seats
Basic$19 (≈₹1,799)$25 (≈₹2,368)1None listed
Team$29 (≈₹2,746)$39 (≈₹3,693)13
Agency$52 (≈₹4,924)$69 (≈₹6,534)46
White Label$149 (≈₹14,110)$199 (≈₹18,845)46
CustomQuoteQuoteNegotiatedNegotiated

The extra-site fee is the number that decides your bill. Each additional published site costs $19 a month or $171 a year on Basic, and $17 a month or $168 a year (about ₹15,910) on every higher tier. Picture an agency with 20 live client sites on the Agency plan: four are included, 16 are extra. That works out to $624 for the plan plus $2,688 for the extra sites, so $3,312 a year, or roughly ₹3.14 lakh before tax.

Every listed tier includes unlimited storage and bandwidth, up to 1,000 pages per site and 150 AI credits a month, with top-up credits sold as one-off purchases. Projects made with Duda Vibe, the company's newer AI build tool, are billed separately at $8 to $9 a month each. Taxes may be added.

Why Duda ends up costing agencies more than a single Wix site

A single Wix Light site is $17 a month on yearly billing, so Duda's Basic plan at $19 looks similar. The gap opens as you grow. Duda charges per account and then per site, and the useful agency features (client accounts, saved templates, shared AI widgets, chat support) start on Team or Agency rather than Basic. What you get for that money is hosting on AWS with a 99.5% uptime target, no plugins to patch, and one place to manage every client. Shops that bill a monthly care fee can mark those $17 sites up; one-off builds struggle to justify it.

How the Duda White Label plan works for agencies

Duda's FAQ claims the whole platform can be white labelled: you set brand colours, upload a logo and connect a domain. In the dashboard that splits into three settings: a platform domain, a site domain and an email domain. The help centre explains the platform one, which needs White Label or a higher plan. Go to White Label, pick Custom Domain, then Platform, and click Connect. Enter a subdomain such as sites.youragency.com, then copy the CNAME name and value Duda gives you into your DNS provider and save. DNS can take up to 72 hours to settle, and clients keep using the default address until the domain verifies.

After that, clients sign in at your address and edit inside your branded dashboard, so it behaves like your own client portal. Here is the catch. The pricing table gives Agency and White Label the same four sites, six seats, priority support and AI allowance. The $97 monthly difference on yearly billing buys branding. If your clients do not care whose logo sits above the editor, Agency is the smarter purchase.

Seats, templates and team collaboration on Team versus Agency

  • Seats: Team includes 3 team members, Agency and above include 6. Client accounts are unlimited from Team upward.
  • Feedback: site comments are available to up to 100 clients on Team and above.
  • Reuse: Team allows 2 custom templates and 5 custom sections; Agency raises that to 5 templates and 15 sections.
  • Support: email on Basic and Team, priority help by email, chat and screen share on Agency and the branded tier, and 24/7 VIP support on Custom.

For more than six seats, the pricing table points you to the sales-quoted Custom plan.

Dynamic pages, the widget builder and an API locked behind sales

Dynamic pages let one page template produce many pages from a data collection, which is how a franchise client gets 60 location pages without 60 manual builds. Team gets a limited version, Agency the standard one and Custom the advanced one. The widget builder lets developers write custom widgets in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and Duda now adds AI generation: site level on Basic and Team, account level on Agency and above, so a widget built once can be used across clients.

The REST API handles creating sites from templates, publishing, user and client access, backups and site analytics, with documentation at developer.duda.co. The pricing table marks API access as a Custom-plan feature, so a SaaS company that wants to spin up sites automatically will be talking to sales. Agency and above do include access to Duda's MCP server, which lets outside AI assistants work with your account. Duda also has a multi-language feature for multilingual sites and lists website personalization in its plan comparison; check which tier includes each before you quote a client.

Ecommerce and bookings come as a second subscription

Selling online is not part of the base plans. Duda's eCommerce and Bookings page lists three store tiers, all with 0% transaction fees:

  • Standard: $7 a month yearly or $8 monthly, up to 100 products and one staff calendar.
  • Advanced: $20 yearly or $22 monthly, up to 1,000 products and three staff calendars, plus digital products, subscriptions, automatic tax through Avalara and shipping labels through Easyship, with monthly caps (500 Avalara calls and 100 labels).
  • Elite: $45 yearly or $52 monthly, up to 20,000 products and 10 staff calendars.

Going past those caps costs extra; Avalara calls, for instance, are billed at $0.20 per additional 10. The listed payment gateways are Stripe, PayPal, Square and Mollie.

Can an Indian agency run client sites on Duda?

Yes, but plan for dollar billing. Duda publishes no INR price list, and the pricing page says prices are in USD per account, so you need a card that works for international subscriptions. The bigger question is online stores: Razorpay, PayU and other India-first gateways are not on Duda's gateway list, so an Indian client selling in rupees would rely on Stripe or PayPal. Check that the client's business qualifies for one of them before you promise a store.

SEO, AI answers and Duda's visibility add-on

Duda's FAQ describes built-in technical SEO such as clean code and schema markup, plus answer engine optimisation work including LLMs.txt support. For agencies that report on AI search, there is a paid AI Visibility add-on: Starter at $19 a month tracks 1 domain and 20 prompts across 2 answer engines, while Scale at $195 covers 20 domains and 500 prompts.

Duda vs Wix Studio for handing sites to clients

Wix Studio is Wix's workspace for agencies and freelancers. It adds custom breakpoints, full CSS control and reusable sections, templates and widgets, lets several teammates edit the same site at once, and gives clients a dashboard plus monthly analytics emails. Wix's standard site plans go from $17 (Light) to $159 (Business Elite) a month on yearly billing, and Studio prices should be checked on Wix's Studio plans page. Wix Studio suits design-led builds where every site looks different. Duda is the tidier choice for volume: tighter client permissions, one flat extra-site fee and a branded dashboard if you pay for it.

Duda vs Webflow when clients edit after launch

Webflow charges twice. Each site needs a site plan (Basic $15 or Premium $25 a month yearly, Premium being the one with CMS), and the agency also pays for a Workspace, with the Agency Workspace at $35 a month yearly including three free client seats per site. Twenty CMS sites on Webflow Premium plus that Workspace come to about $535 a month, against roughly $276 a month for the same 20 sites on Duda Agency. Webflow gives designers more layout control and code export. Duda wins on cost per site and on keeping non-technical clients from breaking layouts.

Duda vs WordPress and the other alternatives worth costing

Self-hosted WordPress is open source, runs on any host and has a plugin for almost everything, so it can be cheaper per site and you own the code. The trade-off is that your team handles updates, backups and security for every client. Duda removes that maintenance but locks sites into its platform; moving away means a rebuild. Moving in, Import Content handles one or two sites and the Experts Program roughly 12 to 24. Other options to price against Duda are Wix Studio, Webflow and Framer for design-heavy marketing sites.

For GDPR questions, Duda publishes a data processing agreement next to its privacy policy.

Duda website builder for agencies review and pricing: the scorecard

Our research score is 3.9 out of 5. Features earn 4.4 for client controls, dynamic pages and the widget builder, pulled down by the API sitting on Custom. Value earns 3.3, because there is no free plan, per-site fees add up and branding costs $149 a month. Ease scores 4.0 and support 3.8, with only email help below Agency.

Testing Duda on a real client during the 14-day trial

The trial runs 14 days and needs no card, and the White Label plan can be trialled too. Duda's terms also give a 30-day money-back guarantee on most subscriptions, with the trial counted as running at the same time as that window. Use it properly:

  • Rebuild one existing client site with Import Content.
  • Create a client login and restrict it to text and blog edits to see what the client actually sees.
  • Connect a platform subdomain early, since DNS can take up to three days.
  • Count your live sites and multiply the extras by $17 before choosing between Team and Agency.

Duda FAQ

What is Duda website builder?

Duda is a drag-and-drop website platform built for agencies, freelancers and SaaS companies that create and manage sites for small business clients. It combines an editor, AWS hosting, client accounts with permissions and reusable templates in one dashboard. Duda says more than 14 million sites have been built on it.

How much does Duda cost?

According to duda.co/pricing, Basic is $19 a month billed yearly ($25 monthly), Team is $29 ($39), Agency is $52 ($69) and White Label is $149 ($199), with Custom quoted by sales. That is roughly ₹1,799 to ₹14,110 a month on yearly billing at ₹94.7 per dollar. Extra published sites cost $17 a month on Team and above, or $19 on Basic.

Does Duda have a free trial?

Yes. Duda offers a 14-day free trial that needs no credit card, and the White Label plan is available to trial as well. Its terms add a 30-day money-back guarantee on most subscriptions, with the trial period running concurrently. There is no permanent free plan.

How do I white label websites with Duda?

Buy the White Label or Custom plan, then open White Label in the dashboard and set your platform, site and email domains. For the platform domain, go to Custom Domain, choose Platform, enter a subdomain such as sites.youragency.com and copy the CNAME name and value Duda shows into your DNS host. Allow up to 72 hours for DNS. Clients then log in to a dashboard carrying your logo, colours and domain.

Is Duda good for SEO?

Duda builds in technical SEO such as clean code and schema markup, and its FAQ lists answer engine work like LLMs.txt support. Sites are hosted on AWS with a 99.5% uptime target. A paid AI Visibility add-on, from $19 a month, tracks how your brand appears in AI answer engines.

Duda vs WordPress for agencies: which is better?

WordPress is open source, runs on any host and has a huge plugin library, but your team must maintain updates and security for every site. Duda handles hosting and maintenance and adds client permissions out of the box, in exchange for a per-site fee and platform lock-in. Agencies selling care plans to many small clients often prefer Duda; those needing custom code and full ownership lean to WordPress.

Can I use Duda in India?

Yes, Indian agencies can subscribe, but Duda bills in US dollars per account and publishes no INR price list, so you need a card that accepts international subscriptions. Its store gateways are Stripe, PayPal, Square and Mollie, with no India-first gateway such as Razorpay listed. Check gateway eligibility before building a rupee store for a client.

What are the best Duda alternatives?

Wix Studio suits design-led agency work, Webflow gives designers more layout control and code export on paid Workspace plans, and self-hosted WordPress offers full ownership with plugins. Framer is another option for design-heavy marketing sites. Compare the cost per client site, since each platform bills sites differently.

Why is Duda more expensive for agencies?

Duda charges a per-account plan and then $17 a month for each extra published site on Team and above. Key agency features such as more seats, saved templates and chat support begin on Team or Agency, and branding the dashboard needs the $149 White Label plan. In return you get managed hosting, no plugin upkeep and built-in client management.

Who is Duda best for?

Duda fits agencies and resellers managing dozens of small business sites where clients make light edits after launch. SaaS platforms that want to offer websites to their own customers can use its Custom plan and API. Solo users building one site will find cheaper builders elsewhere.
